I never thought that my bob would become my favorite hairstyle. I have tried many different bob styles over the years, but I decided last June to take on a new challenge. I wanted to grow my hair strong and long with less hot air blow-dryers.

My hair grew very slowly and no matter how much silicone head massagers or biotin supplements my beauty editors recommended, my hair remained at shoulder length for ever. After consulting a professional about my hair, I learned many things that have completely changed the way I care for my hair.

Infrequent shampooing does not improve an oily head, contrary to the popular “hair-training” concept on TikTok. In fact, frequent shampooing can cause seborrheic dermatitis, a condition that causes itching, yellow, sticky flakes, and a greasy scalp. It’s important to keep your scalp healthy and balanced in order to promote hair growth.

I started washing my scalp every day or every second day to keep it in top shape. This may vary depending on the quality of your hair, but for me, this frequency of washing my hair helps maintain a healthy, nourished scalp.

My hair quality improved dramatically after these changes. These simple hair care techniques helped me achieve the long hair I had always wanted.

Hair growth is a long-term process that requires patience. By adjusting the frequency of your shampooing, paying attention to scalp health, using shampoos with effective ingredients, maintaining good lifestyle habits and adjusting your shampooing, you can make hair grow faster and stronger. A healthy body is the basis for healthy hair, as the saying goes. Your hair will naturally reflect how you feel if you pay attention to your overall wellbeing.
